Warhammer Tales

Context

These stories are set in the Warhammer universe. It roughly resembles our own world during the Middle Ages, only larger, darker, and populated by many more civilized and fantastical races.

Vampires

In a region of the world akin to ancient Egypt, religious beliefs gradually led to necropolises that were larger than the cities of the living. Until a priest decided that life after death was unacceptable. He developed an elixir of immortality made from human blood. The queen of Lahmia, one of the cities of this ancient empire, obtained the formula for this elixir and managed to distill enough for seven people. Or so she thought. By accident, she created the undead race of vampires. All vampires in this universe are descended from the “chosen ones” who drank this potion. They spawned their own vampire lineages by passing on their curse.

Overall consistency

It should be noted that with over 30 years of content, there are numerous contradictions in the “official” documents. While I strive to stay on track in my stories, I do occasionally stray, either because I didn’t discover my mistakes until after publication or because the facts were simply absurd. But overall, my texts are particularly faithful to historical facts and figures. For fanfiction, of course.
